Why Americans Buy Refrigerated Milk While Europeans Don’t?
There are some differences in the food cultures of countries. Such as milk. Most Americans prefer to store the milk in the refrigerator while Europeans prefer the opposite. The reason behind this is just different pasteurization methods. In the U.S. milk manufacturers use pasteurization methods that contain high-temperature short-time pasteurization, or HTST. Europeans, on the other hand, use a technique called ultra-heat-treated pasteurization, or UHT.
